I wanted to start this blog since I am always interested in learning new things and love visiting other quilting blogs. I decided that since we are almost at the start of another new year, what better new activity to introduce into my life than blogging!
I have been quilting since I went to college at 18 and am 26 now. I am pretty much self taught (you gotta love the internet!) but have started to take many local classes since I feel they can teach me so much.
My main reason for starting this blog is that I want to work through two block of the month activities that I saw featured on two of the blogs I frequent. Have you heard of them?!!! I am going to be following along with the Birdies Stitches BOM from Little Miss Shabby (see the button in my side bar) and I am going to follow along with Blogger's Block-a-Palooza (also see the button in the side bar) which is a cooperation effort on behalf of a few bloggers.
I picked up my fabric and thread yesterday. I decided to go with a little different fabric than some of them are suggesting. I will post the fabric pics tomorrow. I am so excited to get started with these BOM's!!! I am sure they are going to have a lot of followers..............stay tuned.
